Dimming with phase-control dimmers Dimmers are constantly undergoing improvement, and only the newer ones are suitable for LED. Even the ones which are suitable for LED do not always match every type of LED luminaire or lamp. This can cause flickering, for example, or the dimmer can interfere with other devices such as radios by creating interfer-ence. If the dimmer is suitable, the control system will function with little additional effort, because it does not require any additional wiring.

Residual glow Even modern dimmers cannot always cut off power entirely. In those instances, a small residual current will flow through the lamp. This is usually negligible enough not to have an impact on the electrical bill but, especially with highvoltage LED, it is possible that they will glow slightly, even when the dimmer should actually be switching off the current entirely. If you find this annoying, a compensation module (151008) may fix the problem.
