DIMMING VIA PHASE DIMMER
LED lights from Bruck can always be dimmed using a phase dimmer such as those traditionally fitted in the wall. Please note that this really works:
- Only a few makes of dimmer are really optimally suited. Please use one of the dimmers listed below.
- Adjust after installation! High-quality dimmers offer various setting options. These must be used. Then it will work.
SET THE DIMMER:
Automatic: Many dimmers have automatic load detection, which automatically switches to leading edge phase control or trailing edge phase control. Please switch off this function. Instead, set to trailing edge phase control.
Minimum load: Lights sometimes flicker when dimmed very low. A limit value can be set for this. Set the minimum load high enough to prevent flickering.
Neutral conductor:A neutral conductor can be connected to some dimmers. If this option is available, it must be utilised.
Minimum power of the dimmer:LEDs are economical, but dimmers require a minimum power in order to work.
Set the maximum load:Reduce if flickering occurs in the maximum range.
Recommendation - Rotary dimmer
Recommendation - flush-mounted dimmer
(for mounting behind a push-button that controls the dimmer)
For dimming via a connected push-button and/or Casambi
Compensation module:
This helps to eliminate flickering in conjunction with dimming. It is connected in parallel to the luminaire. This can be done (where possible) in the luminaire, in the canopy or under the switch/dimmer in the wall. We recommend the 237500 module from Gira.
